The Trade Marketing Manager leads the full funnel brand presence and voice for Bubs across North America with the shoppers at assigned retailers. This role collaborates closely with key account/sales, and internal marketing and business units on a daily basis. This role will be the internal expert on shopper behaviours and needs, helping to drive success in the marketing function.
Key Responsibilities
- Maximise shopper conversion through the development and execution of compelling and increasingly personalized shopper experiences through retailer & digital channels.
- Develop and execute comprehensive retail marketing strategies to drive foot traffic, sales, and brand loyalty.
- Ensure all decisions/recommendations are truly data driven marketing (insight driven) and convert more transactions along the path to purchase.
- Develop the shopper marketing strategy, lead the activation calendar, optimise retail media with the appropriate media agencies, in conjunction with the Account Manager & Head of US Marketing.
- Collaborate with the sales team to align marketing efforts with sales objectives, ensuring a cohesive approach to retail success.
- Deliver a clear shopper marketing strategy that delivers on business objectives and leverages data driven marketing to accelerate the growth in our priority channels as defined by the Strategic Channel Matrix.
- Ensure shopper marketing activations deliver on objectives and are analysed for continuous improvement.
- Analyse market trends, consumer behaviour, and competitive landscape to identify growth opportunities.
- Stay abreast of latest trends and industry insights.
- Manage and optimize the trade marketing budget, ensuring cost-effective campaigns and initiatives.
- Monitor and report on key performance metrics, providing insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Build and maintain relationships with key retail partners and stakeholders.
- Work closely with the global marketing team to localize and implement global campaigns at the regional level.
Selection Criteria
- 3-5 years of Trade Marketing experience in the Consumer Packaged Goods Space highly preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, or a related field
- Expertise in retailer relationships and practices
- Demonstrated success with retailer advertising/media co-marketing planning, execution & analysis
- Demonstrated success with point of sale/merchandising processes and standards
- Demonstrated success leading external agency relationships, multiple agency models preferred
- A self-starter who can problem solve, has a bias for action and results, and strong communication skills
- Ability to influence cross-functional decisions and work across a complex organization
- Demonstrated consumer-first mindset
- Familiarity with event and partnership program relationship management and execution
- Demonstrated success with content development and touch point intersection with owned properties
- Ability to prioritize and balance multiple projects and priorities in a fast paced retail environment
- Proficiency in MS Office tools, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills
