Position Summary
Assembly of mechanical systems to include robot end of arm tooling, electrical panels, and other custom machinery components. Assists with day-to-day operations, follow up with vendors, perform part inventory etc. Build and/or adapt prototypes and equipment based on data sheets and instructions from engineering department personnel. Assists in end of arm tooling design, testing, panel layout & build, and troubleshooting. Demonstrated understanding of automation and continually seeks new technologies to develop best in class solutions to address customer and internal automation opportunities. Reports to Myers Sr. Automation Engineer.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Ability Knowledge and operation of mechanical and industrial tools
- Hands on capabilities in the following areas:
o Control Panel assembly
- Tool or Mechanical assembly
- Trouble shooting
- Basic mechanical and electrical skills including reading of specifications, schematics, and design documents.
- Robotic or industrial machinery experience.
- Strong communication skills and ability to interact with a team
Education and Experience
- Associate degree or equivalent experience in electronics or mechatronics
- Experience working with industrial controls
- Welding or fabrication experience
- 2D & 3D CAD Experience
- Mechanical Design Experience
