Overview
The Development Intern provides support to the Development department, while supporting the organization’s mission, vision, and values. The Development Intern is responsible for leading assigned tasks and assisting on projects and development deals, including conducting analysis in target markets, land owner analysis, job cost data entry, demographic research and preparing investment packages.
Our Internship program provides a hands-on experience in inclusive and creative environments around the nation. The Design Intern will contribute to the Buckingham Foundation that works to initiate positive change in communities tied to Buckingham Companies. Qualifications
Training/Education
- Must be pursuing a college degree in Business, Finance, Civil Engineering, or Real Estate.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications.
- Valid Driver’s License and reliable private transportation.
- Maintain a 3.0 GPA or above.
Experience/Skills
- Experience and knowledge of statistical analysis and research.
- Proficient communication and public speaking.
- Ability to learn new technology quickly.

Responsibilities
- Analysis of market information and working with Land Acquisition Manager to evaluate prospective opportunities.
- Prepare comprehensive, professional presentation materials that include exhibits of development merits, demographic analysis, market analysis and competitive product evaluation.
- Organize and prepare data in Microsoft Excel and other software programs to provide key information for development deals including assisting with project cost tracking and entry.
- Assist with preparing and distributing lender and investor packages for development projects and opportunities.
- Assist with preparing proposals and RFP’s in response to development and/or acquisition opportunities.
- Responsible for becoming familiar with costs associated with development, including physical construction costs, site development costs, pre-development costs and estimates.
- Accompany development employees on assignments, including some travel, as needed.
- Assist with other facets of a development or acquisition project/opportunity as assigned.#cc
