Position Summary
Reporting to the Manager, Compliance, this position assists on compliance projects for major clients. This individual will provide FTA qualification of goods. The role requires professional communication with team members, clients, suppliers and government representatives.

Key Responsibilities:
- Complete FTA determinations and reviews
- Identify solicitation and classification workload needed for qualification
- Assistance on Trade Program projects, audits and verification programs
- Reviews and maintains database integrity
- Utilizing various client and Buckland provided software to organize and manage workload
- Create reports, and may assist in drafting compliance processes and related work instructions
- Provides broker and client assistance with FTA document support
- Liaison with significant business partners on Customs compliance issues
- Ongoing effective and diplomatic internal and external customer service
- Other duties and responsibilities related to compliance activities
The ideal candidate will bring:
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university
- 3 years qualification experience with expert knowledge of FTA Rules of Origin and RVC calculations
- US Customs broker’s license and/or CCS designation preferred but not required
- Self-motivated with good organizational and decision making skills
- Professional and articulate communication abilities, above average written communication abilities; mature demeanor
- Good research and analytical skills, with strong attention to detail and organization skills
- Good team and leadership skills
- Detail oriented
- Excellent problem solving, research and analytical skills
- Strong team player with the ability to work independently
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office with advanced knowledge of Excel and Access (preferred)
- Ability to travel when needed (up to 10%)
