Job purpose
The Carry-out Manager will manage all aspects of the carry out operations of a Buddy’s unit to maximize guest satisfaction and profit development. This role is responsible for managing all scheduled shifts within the carry out and maintain all processes established by Buddy’s. The scheduling expectations of this role will be to work a minimum of 5 days/50 hours per week.
Essential Functions
- Establishes and implements unit performance and budgetary goals for Assistant Carry-out Managers and hourly staff.
- Practices safe food handling and sanitation. Routinely inspects all areas of carry-outs and identifies non-compliant safety.
- Ensures that supplies are utilized properly and cost-effectively.
- Communicates effectively with staff members on carry-out unit plans, progress and encourage suggestions for service and quality improvements.
- Displays positive team-building skills and always handles all assignments with a positive and enthusiastic attitude.
- Ensures carry-outs maintain a positive, outgoing, and friendly environment for both customers and employees.
- Ensures a safe work environment to reduce and prevent the risk of injuries and accidents.
- Leadership responsibilities:
- Assists with hiring, scheduling and new hire orientations.
- Assists the General Manager with employee reviews.
- Provides employees with positive and constructive feedback
- Ensures all service and food preparation guidelines are maintained
- Ensures staff adhere to Buddy’s uniform policy and standards.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a restaurant supervisory role
- Proficient in the following areas: leadership, communication, staff mentoring and development, and quality of operations.
- Must possess excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to meet deadlines and work withing budgetary guideline.
- Ability to communicate effectively will all levels of staff with strong problem solving and decision-making skills
- Knowledge of manpower needs and scheduling guidelines maintaining confidentiality.
- Must possess and demonstrate solid computer skills.
