Maintenance Technician

Buffalo Services, Inc is a company that owns a convenience store chain and two Bulk Plants. We are currently looking for an individual to fill a new opening as our Maintenance Technician. This is a Full-Time position, on average 40-50 hours per week. The following are requirements of the position:

Requirements

• Valid Driver's License
• High School Diploma, or Equivalent
• Pass a pre-employment MVR (Motor Vehicle Report), background search, and drug test

Physical Requirements/Working conditions

• Able to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or a minimal amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.
• Able to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, reach, climb stairs and ladders, and crawl in confined spaces such as attics or crawl spaces.
• Able to exert routine physical effort on a regular basis.
• Able to use a variety of hand and/or power tools.
• Able to operate a motor vehicle and the ability to enter and exit vehicle unassisted.
• Able to work with routine exposure to all weather conditions.
• Able to work regular hours, with occasional overtime; may be required to work rotating shifts.
• Responsibilities
• Respond to various calls throughout the Work Order System relating to minor plumbing, carpentry, electrical, HVAC, refrigeration, and general maintenance issues.
• Assist all Store Managers to ensure duties are being carried out efficiently and accurately.
• Perform general maintenance, repair, and inspection of store equipment and systems under limited or no supervision, direction, or oversight.
• Perform basic preventive maintenance tasks and servicing of equipment and systems, involving and/or assisting other trades in this process.
• Perform work tasks, report deficiencies, and maintain and complete daily records of labor and materials used during work tasks via the Work Order System
• Maintain completeness, timeliness, and accuracy of the work and work orders.
• Continually and urgently communicate with supervisor regarding any apparent operational deficiencies or system malfunctions.
• Must perform any duties assigned in an emergency as determined by management.
• Attend and participate in all departmental trainings and meetings.
• Attend and complete relevant on‐the‐job training as required.

Duties consist of, but not limited to the following

• Minor plumbing maintenance and repairs: unclogging drains, repairing leaks, replacing flushometers/faucets, repairing or replacing piping.
• Minor carpentry maintenance and repairs: replacing ceiling tiles and making proper cuts in ceiling tiles if needed, repairing and replacing cove base, and patching holes.
• Minor electrical maintenance and repairs: repair/replace all switches, receptacles, bulbs and ballasts, fuses, and breakers. Capable of locating breaker panels and resetting as needed.
• Minor general maintenance and repairs: replace motor/fan belts, change out filters, replace or install insulation and wrapping, minor replacement parts on fuel dispensers.
• HVAC and refrigeration maintenance and repairs: read and interpret pressure, temperature, humidity gauges, check fan coil operation, and regular cleaning of the fan coils.
• Accompany and/or assist facilities staff, project leaders, consultants and contractors as directed or assigned.
