What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dining Room Manager position at Buffalo Steakhouse?
We are seeking an experienced, motivated individual to join our restaurant as a Maitre'd. As a lead member of our front-of-house service team, you greet customers, make and confirm reservations, and manage waitstaff to ensure the highest possible standards of service. You are responsible for both the logistic details, including reservations and arrangements for large parties, as well as setting the overall ambiance and atmosphere of the restaurant space. Our ideal candidate has considerable prior experience in high-end foodservice environments, excellent customer service skills, and an impeccable demeanor.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Greet customers entering various lounges and escort them to tables.
- Maintain high standard of service for room and see that customers’ beverage and comfort needs are met.
- Work closely with kitchen to achieve the most efficient distribution of food.
- Manager waitstaff to ensure excellent service throughout a given seating.
- Inspect dining areas for cleanliness, proper table set-ups, efficiency, and handle any complaints that may arise.
- Complete special assignments for management as requested.
Qualifications
- At least five years in a high-end, fast-paced restaurant environment.
- Adaptive organizational skills and the ability to change plans to meet new circumstances.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills, including the ability to tactfully deliver unwelcome news to customers.
- Strong cash handling skills.
