PURPOSE Represents the “voice of the customer” at the team level, translating product vision, and maintaining and prioritizing the product backlog to ensure that the team is working on stories that maximize business value and deliver necessary features and fixes to customers. This highly collaborative role works closely with stakeholders, end users, and delivery team members, in order to rapidly deliver quality solutions to customers. He/she must have strong business skills and expertise working with technology teams. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESWork as a team member on a cross functional team, responsible for continuous delivery of value to the customer through compelling and empowering customer experiences Collaborate with Business Owner and stakeholders to ensure work prioritization is aligned with BFS priorities and overall product roadmap as well as to provide product development feedback and direction Continuously innovates and evolves the product in alignment with strategic priorities and is responsible for creating, maintaining, and evolving the product roadmap Maintain and refine product backlog: creates user stories and prioritize all stories to ensure work focuses on those with maximum business value that align with product strategy Ensure stories clearly communicate the customer and stakeholder needs to meet key business objectives and strategies for the product. Consults with team during planning and grooming sessions and signs off on solutions Works with other teams, ensures team is aligned around similar goals and objectives / cross team prioritization Engages with customer and users on a regular basis to uncover pain points and underserved needs Help set and communicate release priority and scope Develop and track key value drivers that measure effectiveness of product discovery and overall product performance and communicate these to stakeholders and business leaders on a regular basis Inspire others to achieve challenging goals and high standards of performance Identify stakeholders and coordinates user acceptance testing with affected teams for certification of solution prior to software release Create release notes and coordinates knowledge transfer to application support teams on software releases SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES This position has no supervisory responsibilities MINIMUM REQUIREMENTSTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience 10 years relevant business experience 4 years’ experience in a product strategy, requirements intake (e.g., business analyst), SME, process owner or customer facing role 4 years’ experience serving as Product Manager and or Product Owner Experience developing business cases, roadmaps, product execution strategies Familiarity with Product Management fundamentals – market research, design thinking, competitive, segmentation, etc. Experience with foundational product management practices and principles across discovery, design, build, release, and measure cycle Experience in defining high-quality business requirements and proficient user story writing preferred. Experience working in large complex organization initiatives preferred. COMPETENCIES Ability to develop product working relationships with both technical and non-technical partners Deep understanding of Agile development practices Ability to use analysis to prioritize business value Passion for understanding new technology trends Excellent communication, collaboration, and influence skills among all organizational levels; strong facilitation and executive communication skills Certified Product Manager or Product Owner or similar certification preferred. Ability to prioritize work against enterprise, division, and product strategies. Can effectively communicate rationale and impact of prioritization choices preferred. Demonstrates experience with user interface design and best practices for usability preferred. Advanced skills in MS Office Suite with particular emphasis on Excel and PowerPoint preferred.
