BHS is looking for an Industrial Equipment Painter to join the production team at our Danebo location in Eugene, Oregon.
Under the direction of the Team Lead or working in conjunction with a Painter 2, you will set up, operate, and tend paint machines and spray guns to paint recycling equipment. The majority of the work you will perform is outside the paint booth, but inside the shop. Occasionally you will work outside in the elements for touch up painting tasks.
If you have these qualifications, knowledge, skills, and abilities…
- Machinery painting experience preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Basic math skills required
- Must be able to read, interpret and follow written work orders
- Must be able to successfully complete respirator fitting and certification
- Forklift certification a plus
- Ability to work a 5 10s schedule of Monday through Friday, 6:00am to 4:30pm

- Reading work orders to determine proper setup of paint equipment and paint product. Calculating required amounts of paint based on work order
- Setting up and operating paint machines to obtain proper paint flow, viscosity, and coating quality
- Preparing equipment surface prior to paint application. Masking off product as required per work order to protect surfaces during painting
- Observing machine gauges and equipment operation to detect defects from standards, and making adjustments as necessary
- Performing visual quality inspections of painted equipment
- Cleaning machines, related equipment and work areas using cleaning aids
- Transferring completed products from paint booth to drying area using hand trucks or forklifts
