What are the responsibilities and job description for the Area Sales Manager position at Bunkhouse Group?
Description
Hotel San Jose:
Originally a 1930s ultra-modern motor court, Hotel San José was transformed into 40-room urban bungalow-style accommodations hidden behind stucco walls amidst lush garden courtyards on South Congress Avenue. Considered the quintessential Austin hotel experience, San José is more than just a place to stay. The courtyard serves as a gathering place and community hub for locals and visitors thanks to its cravable cocktails and beloved happenings, including the annual South x San Jose concert series and over-the-top Halloween party. Steps away from Jo’s Coffee, our local coffee purveyor and coveted people-watching spot, we're happy to host all who are interested in slowing down for a stay.
Austin Motel:
Operating as a motel since 1938, Austin Motel is a quintessential part of the city’s history, sitting in the heart of South Congress’ famed strip of restaurants, clubs, and shops. The beloved 1930s motor court includes 41 guest rooms, a ‘50s-style outdoor kidney-shaped pool and sun deck, creative community and cultural programming, and a renegade-style retail shop in the lobby, all set amidst the original midcentury architecture. The ethos looms large in every part of the guest experience: So Close, Yet So Far Out.
The Carpenter Hotel:
Tucked just between Zilker Park and Downtown Austin, Carpenter Hotel evokes an easy time in Austin full of fresh air, Texas sunshine, and days spent lazing by the water with a book. A bridge between the city and the outdoors, each part of the property nods to its native surroundings and its rich history. The lobby, restaurant Carpenters Hall, and coffee shop are built in the former Carpenters Local 1266 Union Hall, built in 1948. The hotel features a pool, large pavilion, and 93-rooms, each with a private terrace. While the original meeting hall has been reimagined as our front desk, cafe, and restaurant, and it and the hotel itself are still a place for folks to meet up—to share space and community.
