Qualifications:

To qualify for the position of Supervisory Program Analyst, GS-0343-14, candidates MUST have at least one full year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level, GS-13.

Specialized experience is demonstrated experience, which has equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to perform successfully the duties of this position. Experience must be in the normal line of progression or must be related to the work of the position advertised and must be reflected in resume. Specialized experience includes:

  • Knowledge of the laws, regulations, policies, and precedents applicable to ATF's enforcement programs; and
  • Developing long-range plans, projects, and resource priorities; formulates policies; and makes recommendations that have a direct and substantial effect on ATF's programs and operations; and
  • Knowledge of ATF's regulatory and criminal enforcement programs, current issues, and evolving developments; and
  • Communicating information; resolving problems; and justifying, defending, and negotiating issues pertaining to branch programs projects.

Responsibilities:

This position is located under the Office of Field Operations, Deputy Assistant Director-Programs, Firearms Operations Division, NIBIN Assessment and Mobile Operations Branch, in Springfield, Virginia.

The duties of the Supervisory Program Analyst include planning, directing, assigning, coordinating, and reviewing the functions and activities of a branch/division office staff, which includes criminal investigators, industry operations investigators, program analysts, and professional support staff. This position manages a specific office that serves as the research arm of ATF and is responsible for programs, functions, or operations encompassing the overall mission of the organization to which assigned.

Responsibilities will increase and assignments will become more complex as your training and experience progresses.

Salary : $132,368 - $172,075
