Specialized Experience: Applicants must possess one (1) full year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 level equivalent in difficulty and complexity to perform the duties of a Field Manager. Qualifying specialized experience includes: performing or acting in a leadership or supervisory role; planning, implementing, and/or administering a natural resource program in a multi-resource environment involving land management; researching, interpreting, and applying laws, regulations, and policies; experience working with an established budget system; communicating technical and non-technical information to a variety of audiences; and building professional relationships with diverse stakeholders.
Please note there are no educational substitutions at this grade level.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

Physical Demands: Normally works in an office setting with occasional trips to the field. Occasionally required to walk moderately long distances over rough terrain during normal fieldwork.
Work Environment: Office work is accomplished in an adequately lighted and heated facility. When in the field, subject to injuries when walking in rough terrain and exposure to uncomfortable hot and cold temperatures. Incumbent will adhere to all safety rules and regulations as prescribed in manuals/supplements or by the designated Safety Officer.
Salary : $98,496 - $128,043
