Burgaflex North America is headquartered in Fenton, Michigan. We specialize in hose and tube assemblies for AC/heating lines servicing heavy trucks, agriculture, and construction vehicles.
Job Title: Customer Service Representative (CSR)
Department: Production
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Summary
We are looking for a CSR, who will act as a liaison, provide product/services information, answer questions, and resolve any emerging problems that our customer accounts might face with accuracy and efficiency.
Essential Functions
· Serves customers by providing product and service information and resolving product and service problems.
· Maintains customer records by updating account information.
· Resolve product or service problems by clarifying the customer’s complaint, determining the cause of the problem, selecting, and explaining the best solution to solve the problem, expediting correction or adjustment, and following up to ensure resolution.
· Maintains financial accounts by processing customer adjustments.
- Reviews and follows up on Accounts Receivables concerns on a daily basis, including, but not limited to delinquencies, invoicing/pricing discrepancies, and outstanding RMA’s.
- Creates reports regarding the current status of customer accounts as requested.
· Recommends potential products or services to management by collecting customer information and analyzing customer needs.
· Prepares product or service reports by collecting and analyzing customer information.
- Calculates annual/periodic pricing changes with customers as required.
· Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Education, and Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent required. Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and other Abilities
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Experience with EDI transmissions, including shipments and error/rejection reports.
- Experience with automotive customers preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software as well as other accounting software programs. Microsoft Dynamics- Great Plains experience a plus
- Ability to operate related office equipment, such as computers, 10-key calculator, and copier.
- Demonstrate initiative and be able to work independently to achieve solutions in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to anticipate work needs and be proactive in efforts to ensure requests and tasks do not fall behind.
- Exhibit impeccable professionalism with all customers, both internal and external.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work well with all levels of team members.
- Conflict Resolution and problem-solving skills.

Physical Requirements
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to manipulate, handle, feel or operate objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; stand; talk and hear; walk; sit, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; and lift or move up to fifteen (15) pounds.

Working Conditions
The incumbent works primarily in an office environment, sitting for prolonged periods at a desk with a computer. While performing the duties of this position, employees are regularly required to use written and oral communication skills; read and interpret data, information and documents, analyze and solve problems, use math and mathematical reasoning; observe and interpret situations; learn and apply new information or new skills; work under deadlines and constant interruptions; interact with staff and other organizations; and frequently deal with dissatisfied or quarrelsome individuals.
