Burke Porter Group's Medical and Life Sciences group is seeking a Human Resources Generalist to join our HR team. This position will partner with the HR team to deliver services to support effective and efficient operations. This role will have the opportunity to manage all HRIS functions, including reporting, support recruiting, benefits, leave of absence, and employee relations. This role will assist in promoting a work environment that exemplifies the company's core values and support the leaders' goals to build a world class manufacturing and product development division.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- HRIS: maintain HRIS to ensure data integrity, reporting, and infrastructure.
- Leave of Absence: support leave of absence including FMLA and multi state leaves accordance with state and federal laws.
- Policy Management: including administering/interpreting company policies and assisting in employment issues, labor law and employment law compliance and related investigations.
- Onboarding: Help coordinate HR related activities including pre-employment screenings and communication to new employees to ensure a smooth and positive experience.
- Benefits: support administration of BPG benefits which may include health and retirement plans, open enrollment activities, responding to employee questions, and invoice reconciliation.
- Safety: participate in the Safety Committee and oversee workers compensation claims.
- Provide excellent customer service and support by responding timely and accurately to employee questions.
Qualifications
- 3 years of HR experience, in a corporate environment
- Industry specific experience preferred, but not required
- Familiarity with CA wage and hour laws
- Experience with HRIS and Applicant Tracking Systems
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to function well in a high paced environment while dealing with ambiguity and change
- Strong communication, decision-making and organizational skills with attention to detail and deadlines
- Sound interpersonal skills
- Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks and analyze data
- Strong ethnics and integrity with the ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality
This position is a Professional level position, with a compensation range of $77,000 - $90,000 annually. This position is on-site, with occasional opportunities to work remotely.
