Exempt Secretary - Food Service

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Maintain strict confidentiality.
Process free and reduced lunch applications for whole district.
Distribute Food Service policy statements for free and reduced meals yearly and follows through with a verification as required by the State Child Nutrition Program.
Type correspondence for the department of School Food Service.
Maintain files for department of School Food Service.
Keep records of illness, absences, etc. for food service staff.
Maintain substitute list for food service staff and obtain substitutes as needed.
Prepare and file requisitions and purchase orders.
Process payroll.
Maintain confidentiality of business and personnel matter.
Answer the telephone and forward messages.
Type menus and prepare all daily, weekly, or monthly materials needed for each Food Service program.
Record participation and financial information for each food service program on spreadsheet.
Process and maintain numerous financial and specialized reports and source documents on a timely basis and in a systematic manner.
Assist Supervisor of School Food Service in preparation of monthly and annual state reports and summaries.
Prepare bills for payment for Food Service monthly.
Prepare specifications for bidding purposes.
Perform other duties as assigned.
