What are the responsibilities and job description for the Warehouse Loader position at Burris Logistics?
As a Loader, you’ll contribute to the team by loading product onto trailers by utilizing a pallet jack or other material handling equipment. You’ll make sure the pallets are secure, maintaining food safety and security standards, and load them in the correct order onto the trailer.
Our warehouses are temperature-controlled, ranging anywhere from 30 degrees in the cooler to -20 degrees in the freezer. Think of Alaska in the winter, it’s cold!
You’ll be Responsible for:
- Ensuring the trailer is ready to be loaded, cleaning out if necessary and verifying the correct trailer temperature
- Check the selected pallet product conditions to ensure it meets all standards to be loaded
- Wrap pallets and load onto trailer
Must-Have Qualifications:
Being a loader can be physically demanding. You need to be able to sit, stand, walk, bend, squat, reach, grasp on a frequent to continual basis in a warehouse environment. You’ll also need to be able to step up onto and down from equipment.
- High school diploma or GED
- Warehouse Experience, operating material handling equipment is a plus
- Able to speak, read, and understand English
- Able to work in a cold warehouse environment
