We are currently looking to fill an Equipment Operator I position at our Victorville location.
The Equipment Operator handles a combination of any of the following equipment relating to the recovery of material : forklift, baler, wheel loader, sortline.
SALARY RANGE : $23.25 / hour - $23.75 / hour
ESSENTIAL DUTIES :
- Operate a combination of any of the following equipment :
- Forklift for movement of recycled materials
- Sortline panel controls (may provide guidance to sorters)
- Baler to prepare material for shipment
- Wheel loader to load sorting line conveyor
- Inspect equipment daily and report unsafe conditions
- Stop operation of any malfunctioning equipment
- Follow safe work practices and adhere to safety rules.
- Perform minor servicing and maintenance of equipment
- Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor
KNOWLEGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES :
- Good judgment skills and ability to recognize equipment problems.
- Ability to communicate in English.
TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE :
- Valid California Driver's License and clean driving record, required
- Previous forklift experience and familiarity with the operation of various powered equipment is desirable.
PHYSICAL :
- Ability to operate forklift, loader, baler, bobcat and sortline equipment.
- Be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
WORKING CONDITIONS :
- Will be exposed to moderate noise and dust levels.
