Established Oak Cliff based Litigation Firm is seeking a qualified Legal Assistant to start immediately.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Legal Assistant and/or Paralegal Certification (Required)
- Bilingual in Spanish. (A plus)
- A minimum of three (3) years of litigation legal assistant experience. (Required)
- Ability to manage large workloads, multi-task, and keep deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Deadline and detail oriented.
- Highly organized and good decision-making skills.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, and various legal programs.
- Knowledge of State and Federal E-Filing.
- Team Player.
- Ability to work independently and follow instructions.
This position would include, but not limited to, the following responsibilities:
- Writing and preparing legal documents.
- E-filing
- Docketing and calendaring.
- Telephone calls to clients and courts.
- Transcribing from digital dictation.
- Summarize medical records.
- Legal Research
- Assisting with Trial and Hearing preparation.
- Drafting correspondence to clients, courts, and others.
Legal Assistant Certification and/or Paralegal Certification preferred.
Job Type: Full-time only. Office hours are 8:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. Monday-Friday.
