JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for managing inventory, receiving in product, and shipping out product and giving direction to any warehouse associates/drivers. 


PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Managing of warehouse (keeping the warehouse neat and organized, receiving in, and putting away product, staging orders to ship/deliver) 
  • Ensure that the warehouse operates at peak efficiency — with customer satisfaction the primary goal — by supervising, organizing, and training warehouse employees and establishing, monitoring, and managing operational goals.
  • Accurate counting and reporting of incoming and outgoing shipments.
  • Train and manage the warehouse associate/driver(s) to solve day-to-day operational issues and reach short- and long-term performance goals.
  • Oversee daily operations while controlling and managing inventory and logistics.
  • Inventory Control (cycle counts daily)
  • Daily Pre-shifts for all forklifts/Order Pickers
  • Responsible for warehouse coverage 
  • Scheduling daily and weekly runs for drivers
  • Traffic/Freight Management- freight quotes, shipping quotes, etc. 
  • Safety Compliance for team
  • Use of Prophet 21 (ERP) & Latitude (Wireless Warehouse Software)


Requirements

REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Product line knowledge
  • Two to four years of warehouse experience
  • Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required. This is normally acquired through a high school diploma or equivalent. 
  • Computer literate with the ability to learn P21 software applications. Duties require professional verbal and written communication skills. This is normally acquired through one to three years of office experience.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Bending, twisting, kneeling, reaching overhead and lifting
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs.
