Student Worker: Lab Assistant - Andover
Job Duties
We are seeking a student who can work in the biology lab starting in August 2024.
The main duty is to assist in the preparation, distribution, and
organization of materials for General and Majors Biology classes, which may include:
1. Assemble packages of consumable materials for online biology lab packets.
2. Clean glassware and equipment used in labs.
3. Assist in set up and take down of labs to facilitate transitions from one section to the next.
4. Maintenance of plants and animals in various rooms.
5. Maintain aquaria by feeding fish and cleaning regularly.
6. Assist in the maintenance of displays in the lab and display cabinets and hallway.
7. Assist instructors on an as need basis.

Required knowledge and skills
- Proficiency with a computer.
- Able to work independently to complete assignments neatly and accurately with little supervision.

Required educational background
Federal Work Study eligible preferred.
Must be a current Butler student, or enrolled for Fall 2024.
