Controls Technician - 3rd Shift
SUMMARY:
BWI Group is a full service supplier of chassis suspension products. Our people, technical centers, manufacturing plants and intellectual property enable us to bring to market a legacy of producing suspension components for more than 8 decades
We are seeking highly motivated Controls Technicians to join our Greenfield Engineering Team (Opening available on 3rd shift). As the Controls Technician, you will be responsible for monitoring the control systems of equipment, and use software to verify that the controls are within the set parameters. This job requires physical labor, such as lifting heavy equipment parts, and writing documentation, such as reports, sketches, or data analyses.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Understand the implementation of the control systems portion (electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, computers, and communications) of new and ongoing production machine projects
  • Work closely with the machine suppliers, manufacturing engineers and maintenance to support the production process
  • Provide in plant controls support and troubleshooting
  • Provide support for updating machine documentation at the plant
  • Provide control system troubleshooting on existing and new machine installations and machine modifications
REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Associates degree in Engineering or related field
  • Siemens Training
  • 2 years of experience PLC Programing
  • Ability to read electrical schematics
  • Excellent English written and verbal communication skills
  • Self-motivated and flexible on job assignments
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Power Point, and Excel
  • Proven ability in multi-tasking complex projects and enjoy working in a fast pace environment
Preferred SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Allen Bradley Training
  • Yaskawa Motoman Advanced Training or equivalent
  • Geometrical Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) proficiency
  • Experience in Assembly Operations which include pressing and torqueing
