Working Superintendent/Foreman

Job Overview:

C&B Contracting Specialist is looking for hardworking, driven individuals to fill working superintendent positions on our jobs in and around the Lynchburg area. Most jobs are located within an hour of Lynchburg. Starting at $20.00/hour. Pay based on experience.

Responsibilities:

- Able to effectively manage a crew of 4-8 people on a jobsite

- Report to our project managers and often general contractor superintendents throughout the duration of a job

- Keep track of time worked on each project each day and submit safety reports as required

- Safe operation of all equipment and tools

- Must wear proper PPE on jobsites at all times

- Willing to travel to job sites for work within a reasonable distance

- Keep work area clean throughout the day and before ending work daily

- Use of hand tools for cutting, scraping, drilling, etc.

- Lift, wheelbarrow, dispose of block, brick, concrete, other heavy materials

- Some machine operation may be required (skid loaders, mini excavators, floor saws, lifts, etc.)

- Other responsibilities to be determined based on various scopes of work and experience

Must be willing to work M-T 7:00 AM- 5:00 PM and occasionally Fridays/Saturdays as our schedule often changes between jobs.

Skills: The ideal candidate should possess the following skills:

- Able to lift/carry/load 50 pounds

- Experience managing a team of workers in a construction setting
- Willing and able to work in changing conditions and work environments
- Experience in construction/ demolition work is a plus
- Ability to work in an often fast-paced, team-based environment to complete tasks effectively and efficiently
- Knowledge of operating hand tools, power tools, and equipment
- Asbestos abatement license and experience are advantageous, but not a requirement

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 60 per week
