Our client is seeking a Litigation Paralegal with over three years of experience to support their Indianapolis Intellectual Property group. The role requires strong attention to detail, critical thinking skills, and the ability to proactively support attorneys while managing and monitoring cases. Key responsibilities include using eDiscovery software, such as Relativity, to organize data for document production, editing and proofreading legal documents, filing documents electronically, and assisting with deposition, mediation, and trial preparation. The paralegal will draft legal documents and ensure compliance with federal and state statutes and local rules, while proactively monitoring deadlines and notifying attorneys of necessary actions.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent oral and written communication skills, demonstrate sound judgment, and have the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Experience with intellectual property litigation, including patents and trademarks, is preferred but not required. A high school diploma or equivalent is necessary, with a paralegal degree or certificate desired. Proficiency in eDiscovery tools, Microsoft Office, and solid command of the English language are essential for success in this role.
