Our client has an opportunity at their firm to gain vital experience while supporting under-served members of your community. If you are passionate about helping others, they have the perfect role for you. They are looking for a Paralegal with law firm experience to support their Justice for Kids division. The case load is comprised of civil litigation files with a focus on representing child victims (Plaintiff side).
The paralegal should be familiar with analyzing records and other case specific material; preparing exhibits, pleadings, and discovery; creating presentations for mediation, arbitration, and trial; handling file organization, investigations, and research; have knowledge in litigation software programs; collaborating with the trial attorney; and be able to attend mediations, arbitrations, and trials lasting 1-3 weeks on an as needed basis to be determined by the attorney.

Qualifications:
Minimum of Bachelor's Degree and/or 2 years of personal injury litigation experience (Plaintiff preferred but not a must)
High attention to detail
Proficient in Microsoft Office
Paralegal Certification Preferred

Responsibilities
- Aiding at trial, including assistance with exhibits, visual evidence, and editing video deposition testimony
- Preparation of routine and/or complex legal documents for review by attorneys
- Reviews, organizes, and summarizes reports and other case materials
- Drafting pleadings, subpoenas, discovery requests and responses, correspondence, interrogatories/answers, notices of examination under oath, and other legal documents
- Assisting in deposition preparation, pre-trial investigations, trial preparation, including assistance with preparation of witnesses for deposition and/or trial
- Preparation of deposition and trial binders
- Preparation of exhibits and other demonstrative evidence for use at trial
- Liaison with experts
