Summary - Supervises and coordinates activities of workers engaged in receiving and paying out money and keeping records of transactions in the credit union by performing the following duties. Responsible for interviewing and evaluating applicants for routine consumer loans and processing loan applications. Gather background information and analyze loan applicant’s credit information. Approve or deny applications based on analysis. Operate with moderate credit authority.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Oversees the administration and supervision of all branch activities within established policies and guidelines pertaining to personnel, member services, business services, lending, new accounts, security, marketing, sales/service and overall goals.
Ensures the branch's organizational vision and mission is met by supporting a teamwork atmosphere.
Empowers branch personnel to achieve their goals by focusing on meeting members' financial needs through positive sale opportunities and the ability to maintain branch goals.
Coordinates and monitors branch activities including number of transactions, volume, MSR errors, loan volume, MSR and member representative sales, and new accounts to ensure Credit Union's policies and procedures are followed and initiate corrective action as needed.
Provides overall member services and lending functions to include - opening of new accounts, answering member questions, educating members on services, and processing loans.
Assists in the development and training of branch personnel by directing, developing, coaching and motivating employees. Assists in the hiring and disciplining of branch personnel.
Monitors key products/sales within branch by pulling reports or keeping spreadsheets, to ensure profitable and sound business practices for the credit union, a high quality of service for members, and that staff are maximizing opportunities to sell.
Cross-sell credit union services utilizing product knowledge and ensuring branch and individual goals are met.
Assist the Business Services, Marketing and Business Development Managers with building member relationships, partnerships and business relationships in the local branch area.
Provides required reports of the testing, monitoring and usage of surveillance equipment.
Resolves members account problems and adjusts complaints.
Examines MSR's reports of daily transactions for accuracy.
Ensures the supply of money for branch's needs based on legal requirements, branch maximum requirements and business demands.
Issues written and oral instructions to branch personnel.
Studies and standardizes procedures to improve efficiency of branch personnel.
Performs opening/closing of branch, following specified procedures.
Maintains harmony among branch personnel and resolves grievances.
Contacts members, potential members, and business, community, and civic organizations to promote goodwill and generate new business.
Attends functions of local businesses, civic organizations in the local area to show our support and our commitment to the community.
Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the branch personnel. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, coaching and training branch personnel; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding/disciplining branch personnel; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Education and/or Experience
Associate degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
