Job Posting for IT Support Technician ( Retail Technology) at C&S Wholesale Grocers, Inc.
The Retail Support Technician IV (RST) provides technology service and support to the company's customers. The RST supports the Retail Technology Help Desk providing Level 2 support and supports the full suite of Retail Technology services, programs, and solutions used by customers. The RST works with other team members and the Retail Services Leadership Team to demonstrate the Company's Values, execute the Company's Strategic Objectives, and continually elevate the Customer Experience.
You will contribute by:
Provide technical and application support to the Company's Retailers for all solutions within the Retail Technology suite of services including back-office HQ and store applications, point-of-sale, sign/tag software, networking, etc.
Provide hardware service and support for Retailer equipment including servers, computers, network, and point-of-sale.
Provide Level 2 technical support to our Retailers when escalated from the Level 1 Retail Technology Help Desk team, and escalate to Level 3 Management when required.
Provide Retailers with service that includes remote and on-site field support in Retail supermarkets.
Provide basic application training to Retailers for the Retail Technology suite of services.
Provide Retailers with counseling, advice, and recommendations on technology solutions and services.
Travel Required:Yes
Environment:
Occasional overnight travel and air travel
Travel 3 days a week to stores in North Carolina, South Carolina, and/or Georgia. Work from home available when not on the road
Specialized Knowledge : Strong knowledge of supermarket operations including point-of-sale and back-office applications preferred; Strong technical/networking background required
Special Skills : Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; Able to build positive customer relations; Good communication, verbal and writing skills; Complex problem-solving skills; Team player
Physical abilities: : Ability to lift 50 pounds and sit and stand for long periods of time
Years Of Experience:
4-7 : years of Information technology experience
