CACI has an opportunity for a Network Engineer to support the Defense Information System Agency (DISA) at Fort Meade, MD with a wide range of network skills. This candidate should have knowledge and experience with the latest Cisco Unified Computing (UCS) Platforms and Nexus-based Data-center Switches and a strong background in computer networking and have experience with virtualization, server administration, and data storage.
What You'll Get to Do:
- Assist with the administration of all aspects of a global network (includes SAN, Servers, Virtualization, LAN, WAN and Clients)
- Administer network equipment including routers, switches, servers, transmission media, and related hardware of the organization's network architecture and infrastructure local area and wide area networking including bandwidth management.
- Monitor network performance to determine if adjustments are required.
- Administer and manage Cisco network devices
- Perform network, installation, operations, management, and maintenance concepts.
- Perform routine network configuration management functions.
- Provide assistance to clients and customers to assess their requirements, provide information or assistance.
- Identify and perform problem resolutions
- Assist with the development of network backup and recovery solutions and procedures.
- Provide help desk assistance to customers.
- Travel occasionally to CONUS and OCONUS locations as needed to perform node installations or upgrades.

- Occasional On-call requirements
- Optional 4x10 schedule during normal workdays
You'll Bring These Qualifications:
- Active TS/SCI clearance
- BS Degree (Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or related field) and 5 years of direct experience or 7 years same experience
- CCNA or CCNP Certification
- CompTIA Security CE
- The ability to effectively communicate orally and written with customers.
- The ability to resolve highly complex network interoperability problems
These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
- VM experience
- SolarWinds experience
- Windows Server experience
