CACI seeks a talented Satellite Systems Engineer – Resource Scheduler Specialist, to join TEAM FROST as a Resource Scheduler working primarily Satellite Control Network (SCN) supports supporting the NROs Operations Squadron at Schriever SFB. CO.
What you’ll Get To Do:
Support resource scheduling efforts with a team of Ops Controllers and Resource Schedulers that are the heartbeat of NOPS operations by operating, sustaining and contributing to the development networks enabling satellite commanding on-orbit and launch activities. Engage with ground stations and remote ground terminals to command-and-control NRO satellites. TEAM FROST emphasizes strong teaming skills, engagement at all levels, and sustained professional development. Candidates for this position should have experience supporting system integration, testing, readiness support and ascent operations. This position encompasses duties including, but not limited to, the following:
Candidates should have experience performing resource scheduling operations and supporting real-time satellite operations on complex communications systems. This position encompasses duties including, but not limited to, the following:
Receive and process NOPS user requests for support during current and future scheduling periods
Coordinate, negotiate, and produce a conflict-free executable NOPS operations schedule
Monitor and coordinate Remote Ground Terminal (RGT) down times with NOPS operations crews and NOPS-supported missions
Develop and execute re-plan schedule strategies during vehicle emergencies/anomalies, RGT outages, etc.
Ensure NOPS support requirements are appropriately recorded within the NOPS system
Update scheduling documentation
Provide inputs to process improvement
Collaborative mindset toward continuous process improvement
Provide operational inputs to overall engineering development and testing
Support to various operations status, engineering review, and problem boards
Support to ground system development work, working groups, and test and checkout
Support to cross-contract operation resiliency efforts at SSFB
Willingness to work shift operations at a 24/7 SOC
More About the Role:
- Supporting Office of Space Launch NOPS mission, operations personnel, and infrastructure.
- Maintain awareness of system requirements and extant challenges to identify areas of concern or improvement
- Works with the enterprise to solve mission challenges with processes and technology including hardware, software, databases, operating systems, and networks.
- Maintains systems operations, input/output processes, and working parameters for hardware/software compatibility and maintenance
- Provide technical direction for on orbit mission support, plan for critical vehicle malfunctions and recommend alternate operating techniques to continue maximum mission support.
You’ll Bring These Qualifications:
Current Top Secret/SCI clearance with requirement to obtain a CI polygraph
3+ years experience with solving complex and/or parallel problems
A bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a relevant discipline.
Strong oral and written communication skills and ability to work within a dynamic operational environment
Strong organizational skills and ability to pivot within a dynamic operational environment
Proficiency with MS Office products

Experience with testing, development work, or system integration
