What are the responsibilities and job description for the Vice President, Internal Audit position at CACI?
CACI is seeking a Vice President of Internal Audit to join the team at our Reston, VA headquarters. This position is a critical member of the leadership team and will be responsible for managing CACI’s Internal Audit (IA) department to include the successful development and execution of IA’s annual plan as approved by the Audit Committee of the Board of Directors, implementing efficiencies and improvements to the IA department processes, and the long-term strategic planning of the IA function. An ideal candidate will be able to effectively collaborate with the external auditors and various functional departments within CACI.
What You’ll Get to Do:
As the Vice President of Internal Audit, you will lead the company’s Internal Audit (IA) function which works across the enterprise to ensure compliance and improve the risk management practices around CACI’s financial, operational, and information systems. A key responsibility is to oversee audit activities which determine whether adequate controls exist within the company and are functioning properly to provide reasonable assurance of the reliability of financial reporting, compliance with applicable laws and regulations, the safeguarding of company assets, and the effectiveness and efficiency of operations. The Vice President of IA will identify and make appropriate recommendations to management and help implement strategic initiatives and directives to support the mission, goals and objectives of the Company while fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
This position relies on extensive experience and judgment and maintains open and on-going dialog with senior management and the Audit Committee to ensure that the overall control objectives of the company are met.

You’ll Bring These Qualifications:
- Strong experience in leading an internal audit team or accounting/reporting teams in a large, complex, public environment
- 10+ years of related experience
- 7+ years of managerial experience
- Ability to demonstrate exceptional leadership, influence, and relationship building skills
- Possess a high-level of business acumen
- Strong collaboration skills and a constructive approach to improving the operation of the business
- Effective interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or another related degree
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and or Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) preferred, but not required
