What are the responsibilities and job description for the Slot Performance Technician (FT) (Horseshoe Tunica) position at Caesars Entertainment?
SUMMARY:
General maintenance and repairs to all slot machines and related gaming equipment. Perform their duties in accordance with the established policies and procedures in the pursuit of the company goals and philosophy.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Safeguard the company’s assets and the customers' safety in their assigned areas.
- Ensure that all necessary precautions are taken to maintain company safety standards.
- Repair of slots and gaming related equipment.
- Perform general maintenance as assigned or in accordance with existing procedures.
- Installation, movement, denomination, and game change of slot machines as directed by management.
- Perform predetermined tests and checks on specific machines to establish causes for identified problems as reported by management or slot floor personnel, i.e. excessive hopper fills, etc.
- Perform all duties in accordance with state gaming regulations
- Support and maintain Horseshoe courtesy guidelines.
- Promote outstanding guest relations.
- Perform all other assigned duties.
ADDITIONAL DUTIES/JOB DIMENSIONS: Attendance, which may be modified by the Horseshoe from time to time, is an essential function of the job and is required to successfully perform in this position. Employees with irregular attendance will be subject to Horseshoe disciplinary action procedures up to and including termination of employment.
Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality/entertainment industry, employees may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the property.
Upon employment, all employees are required to fully comply with Horseshoe policies and procedures for the safe and efficient operation of company facilities. Employees who violate company policies and procedures are subject to disciplinary action up to and including termination of employment.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Technical background in repair
- Knowledge of slots and related gaming equipment preferred
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
- Ability to write simple correspondence.
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
REASONING ABILITY:
- Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
- Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES:
- Ability to work in a drug free environment and pass a chemical dependency test as required
- Ability to obtain the appropriate work authorization per gaming regulations
