Logistics Facilitator

Summary: This position is designed to work in our manufacturing plant coordinating all incoming and outgoing shipment activities. Load and unload trucks and move material within the warehouse including the production floor using a powered forklift. Move, stack, load, and unload materials in and around the plant, warehouse and staging areas. The position will also handle the daily UPS/Fed-Ex daily shipments, organize and clean the warehouse, rotate product insuring first in/first out and fill in for route driver time off.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.

Daily Shipping and Receiving

Coordinate inbound and outbound freight.

Operate a Fork-lift and pallet jack

Maintain a clean and well organized workplace.

Must be professional in appearance and manner, and be able to work well under pressure.

Able to handle multiple tasks assigned in a fast-paced environment.

Attention to detail and accuracy necessary.

Must be able to work independently and as part of a team depending on business needs.

Must believe in the importance of customer service and be able to provide great service to all of our wholesale accounts and internal customers.

Compliance with all personnel policies.

Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Management Responsibilities: This position will have no direct reports.

Education/Experience: High School diploma or Ged. Experience with shipping UPS and Fed Ex. Forklift Certification Desired with one year of experience. Basic use of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook required.

Math Ability: Must have intermediate math skills and deductive reasoning skills.

Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve problems and present solutions in an effort to meet the business needs.

Language Ability: Ability to read, and write general business communications and speak effectively in English.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, and lift for the majority of the work day. Must be able to lift a minimum of 50lbs on a regular basis. Must be able to communicate verbally and hear. The vision requirements include: close vision, distance vision, and ability to adjust focus.

Work Schedule: Normal work schedule is 8 hour shifts, but must be flexible between the hours of 8:30 and 5:00 pm with some rare evening or weekend work.'
