POSITION SUMMARY
Represents the hotel to guests throughout all stages of the guests stay from the time of reservation to check out ensuring to provide Sky's the Limit service to all guests. When performing Night Auditor duties is responsible for balancing the revenue and expense transactions, which occurred during the day at the hotel.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provides excellent guest service to both internal and external guests.
- Actively supports the company's culture of Sky's The Limit guest service.
- Answers phones professionally and cheerfully within 3 rings including transferring, routing, taking messages and booking guests hotel reservation.
- Complete a room reservation for any given period of time knowing what type of accommodations, rates and special services are available. In addition, the ability to properly code all said reservations as to the rate type, source, market, etc.
- Recognize and create guest profiles to help maximize accuracy and guest recognition. Quick to collect, pick up and trace helpful information on the guest(s) to utilize during their stay.
- Utilize the hotel system in retrieving, updating and inputting room reservations.
- Assists in the pre-registration and blocking of rooms for reservations.
- Efficiently checking in/out guests, which involves retrieving guest reservation, verifying special requests and accommodations, programming room keys, calculating room charges, making approved changes to the guests account and collecting form of payment for the charges included.
- Ensures all cash and cash equivalents payments are accounted for at the beginning and end of each shift.
- Acts as Night Auditor in absence of full time Night Auditor - Closing and balancing of all room accounts, verifying and balancing cash and credit card receipts, balancing direct bill accounts, verifying and balancing vouchers nightly.
- Run trial balance report.
- Investigate and/or analyze out of balance situations and correct as necessary.
- Make adjustments or corrections to accounts as needed.
- Complete various audit reports.
- Post all hotel activities/reconciliations nightly.
- Review all OTA reservations and post all advance deposit reservations prior to arrival.
- Prepares reports for management on arrivals, VIPs, no show, comp rooms and any other reports requested by management.
- Responds to guest requests, complaints or inquiries while providing a high level of guest service.
- Understanding of room status and room status tracking with knowledge of room location, room type and room rates.
- Must be sales-minded. Presents options and alternatives to guests and offers assistance in making choices to upsell rooms and promote other services/amenities of the hotel.
- Accurately coordinate/relay guest requests to other departments such as Housekeeping for early check-in, late check-out, special requests, etc.
- Provides telephone answering service, deliver mail and answers inquiries regarding the surrounding area.
- Processes retail transaction for Market retail purchases for both hotel guests and casino guests.
- Full knowledge of Club Elevate Players Club and able to assist existing Club Elevate Members and sign up new guests for Club Elevate.

Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
- High school diploma or GED required.
- At least 18 years of age.
- Previous hotel front desk and/or night auditor experience is preferred.
- Ability to speak, write and read English language.
- Ability to work on a broad variety of projects.
- Knowledge of a variety of computer software applications.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends and holidays.
- Ability to stand for long hours at a time.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop or bend, and speak and hear. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
While performing the essential functions of this position, the employee is occasionally exposed to outdoor weather conditions and required to move about the Hotel and Casino floor and exposed to a non-smoke free environment.
