What are the responsibilities and job description for the Baker position at Cake Turners?
Team member is primarily responsible for working in the kitchen, making & baking cakes, cookie dough, cupcakes, and other dessert and snack items in a fast-paced and professional commercial kitchen environment. Additionally, team member will be responsible for preparation, clean-up, inventory, and other responsibilities as assigned. Shift generally 9am-1pm Mon, 8am - 4pm Tues - Fri with occasional overtime on Friday and Saturday.
We are seeking people with the following attributes:
- Proficient in simple math (addition, subtraction, and multiplication)
- Consistent energy, attitude and an awareness of our type of business (we are a dessert shop – we must always be positive and kind with good energy)
-Must have food handlers/mangers certification or acquire it with in 30 days of starting work.
- Must be ok working with a pretty fun-loving and goofy group of people
- Accurate, punctual, proactive, helpful and strong are all qualities that stand out in our bakery team members!
- Should be able to lift 50lbs, be able to work on their feet for 8 hours, and be comfortable operating in a small, fast-paced environment.
Pay DOE but starts at $9/hr and will be reevaluated at 30, 60, and 180 days.
