Exempt Status: Non-exempt/ Full time/ Part time
Work Location: Kitchen and Dining room at the Community
Shift: As needed
General Description of the position:
To maintain the dining room service, assist in room tray service and resident seating assignments.
Miscellaneous cleaning and setting up of dining room.
Essential functions:
Cleaning of dining and food service area.
Setting up of tables.
Assist in seating of residents.
Report residents who miss meals.
Wait, clean and reset tables.
Recycle.
Assist residents in cutting food, opening boxes, etc. due to handicaps.
Remind residents with Dementia’s to return to table to eat.
Report resident diet discrepancies to Supervisor, person in charge or cook.
Maintain current Multnomah County and/or Oregon Food Handler’s certificate.
Other duties as directed.
Working conditions:
Standing: up to 8 hours
Lifting requirements: up to 50 lbs.
Bending to clean.
Pushing heavy objects.
Knowledge, skills and abilities required:
Must have excellent communication skills both written and verbal, with Residents, their families and other staff members.
Equipment used:
Occasional tasks may require the use of (but not limited to) manual tools and operate the commercial dishwasher.

Must have a Multnomah County and/or Oregon food handler’s permit.
Must have First Aid Training Certificate.
Must have abdominal thrust training.

Education:
Exposure to restaurant operations, or the ability to learn.

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
