Position Summary
Position Type: Seasonal/Part-Time/Full-Time Hourly
The Night Auditor position at Caldera House requires an ambitious, hardworking individual. The Night Audit is responsible for End of Day (EOD) procedures, basic accounting functions, and is responsible for overnight security throughout the hotel property. This person works autonomously with no one to assist them, in performing the daily tasks of check ins/check outs, basic accounting, and performing necessary tasks. *Opportunity for Full-Time hours upon request.
Essential Duties:
- Greet guests on arrival, perform check ins, provide bell service and any other information they may need
- Schedule wake up calls and reservations for the following day, deliver newspapers
- Respond to guests' housekeeping related questions, maintain cleanliness of public spaces
- Answer phones and provide information about the hotel and outlets to guests
- Create shift report for the property with the next days hotel financial data
- Verify that End of Day procedures are completed by all departments, run EOD processes in Northstar
- Prepare guest folios for the following day's checkouts and process reservation cards
- Balance any cash drawers and record receipts
- Input all retail outlet checks into Northstar
- Complete daily checklists
- Print registration cards and guest listing reports
- Be prepared to manage overnight guests in an emergency situation
- Prepare coffee and cold water stations
- Perform basic bookkeeping tasks as needed
Qualifications:
- Excellent communication and math skills required
- 2 years' experience in customer service or hospitality required
- Able to learn computer functions and other on-the-job skills
- Good problem-solving skills
- Ability to multitask
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
