Receptionist

Calhoun Funeral Homes needs to hire three highly skilled part-time Receptionists for the Rockside location to help us maintain our reputation of excellence. The hours are 9-2 Monday through Friday and 4-8 Monday through Friday. The people in these positions relieve the full-time receptionists daily.

The Part-time Receptionist greets visitors and delivers exceptional customer service both in person and on the phone. This entails answering calls and fielding them accordingly, addressing visitor questions and needs, and providing an overall welcoming environment. The Part-time Receptionist must possess strong technology, and written and verbal communication skills. Specific assignments may be made with concentration in a single area but the incumbent should be familiar with all administrative roles within the firm.

Duties include but are not limited to:

• Promptly answer incoming telephone calls.
• Demonstrate a warm greeting, anticipate and fulfill client needs and provide a fond farewell.
• Operate telecommunication system by following phone answering, first call, and communication processes.
• Notify appropriate staff of client family/customer arrival.
• Work effectively as part of a team.
• Adhere to the company Code of Conduct and Policies with appropriate confidentiality.
• Receive and secure payments from customers.
• Process payments made at the front desk.
• Keep safe and clean reception areas by complying with procedures and processes of Calhoun Funeral Home.

• Three years’ experience in similar role

Calhoun Funeral Homes is the premier funeral service provider in Northeast Ohio and the top minority service provider in the State of Ohio. The firm has facilities on Lakeshore Blvd in Cleveland, Rockside Rd. in Bedford Hts., and West Thornton St. in Akron.
