- No late-night shifts (salon closes at 6 PM); closed for major holidays

RESPONSIBILITIES
Front Desk/Reception
- Greet and welcome clients and pets with a professional and friendly demeanor
- Answer phone calls and reply to emails and be able to provide information about pricing, services, and retail products
- Understanding software to manage the master salon schedule including booking, confirming, and changing appointments
- Book appointment requests through the online scheduling portal
- Understand and use scheduling by breed, time, stylist and type of service
- Check-in/out Cali Pets clients and collect their payments using a POS system
- Training provided * Balance physical cash and credit card payments for beginning and end of day
- Maintain accuracy and confidentiality of client and pet data
- Maintain front desk cleanliness and organization
- Directly support salon owner in all other duties and task
- Assist with sensitive client situations professionally
- Opening and closing salon duties
Cleaning & Other Duties
- Attend to dogs and help to maintain salon safety certification
- Clean and sanitize self-wash tubs; Restock self-wash supplies
- Fold towels
- Vacuum and mop salon floor
- Clean bathroom weekly
- Clean windows and front desk counter
- Take out trash
- Other duties
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- High School Diploma (required)
- Reception experience or customer service experience
- Must have hands on dog experience, professional experience not required
- Dog knowledge is strongly preferred
- 1 year or more experience preferred * Excellent customer service skills and courteous phone etiquette
- 1 year of customer service experience preferred
- Ability to work well within a team and prioritize salon needs with other tasks
- Positive attitude and warm approach to customer service
- Ability to stay calm in stressful situations
- Strong ethics and a high degree of integrity
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Experience with Microsoft Word
- Basic Knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Must have reliable transportation
- Spanish proficiency a plus
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Must be able to occasionally lift 30 pounds
- Must be able to sit and stand for extended periods
AVAILABLE SHIFTS AND COMPENSATION:
We have available shifts all days of the week. Compensation depends on applicant experience.

We are family-owned and operated seven days a week to offer competition-caliber pet grooming from our stylists.
