General Auditor III

At the California Department of Social Services (CDSS), employees are our most important resource in serving and protecting California’s needy and vulnerable children, adults, and families. CDSS is seeking five experienced auditors to join the audit team for our Community Care Licensing Division (CCLD) and/or our Children and Family Services Division (CFSD) as General Auditor III positions.

As a General Auditor III for the Children and Family Services Division, you will be part of the team that conducts audits of Providers who receive AFDC-FC to ensure that children placed in foster care programs are receiving services for which the Providers are being paid and provide assurances for the fiscal integrity of the Providers.

As a General Auditor III for the Community Care Licenceing Division, you will be part of the team that conducts Solvency, Trust, and Financial Monitoring Audits to ensure that CCLD licensees such as Residential Care, Residential Care for the Elderly, Adult Residential Care, Adult Day Program, Children’s Residential, Foster Family Agency, and Continuing Retirement Communities are in compliance with Title 22 regulations and the pertinent sections of the Health and Safety Code.
