The Human Resources Business Manager at Topgolf Callaway Brands Corp. (formally Callaway Golf Company) will be the HR leader at our state-of-the-art Golf Ball Manufacturing facility where this person will partner closely with senior business leaders in establishing the HR strategic direction to drive business effectiveness, growth, and innovation. The HRBM will lead HR initiatives using consulting skills and leadership to help achieve business objectives and increase efficiencies of their organizations. This role is responsible for strategic workforce planning, talent succession and development, employee relations and will drive change as a trusted advisor to the senior leadership team.

The HRBM is business savvy, naturally driven, assertive and passionate about their craft of inspiring innovation, organizational effectiveness and accountability and educating leaders in best HR practices.

This position is full-time in our Chicopee, MA Golf Ball Manufacturing facility where the team is always committed to do work that we are proud of. Come join our collaborative Human Resources team as we continue to grow the people that make a difference to our company every day!

Roles And Responsibilities

  • Develops HR strategy, solutions, and a strategic workforce plan aligning with the business strategy and objectives.
  • Support business leaders in building bridges between functional areas.
  • Partner with senior leadership teams on organization diagnosis, analysis, and design.
  • Deliver strategic and tactical HR support and programs to employees and managers, including performance management, organizational design, learning and development, compensation programs, and employee relations.
  • Support and reinforce Callaway Golf values and culture.
  • Lead talent assessment management process (succession planning, key employee initiatives).
  • Facilitate meetings and coach business units to drive organizational improvements/development.
  • Proactively manage employee relations, complaint resolution, investigations and agency charges.
  • Partners with appropriate Company Legal staff as necessary to protect the Company and limit claims exposure.
  • Partner with Talent Acquisition to provide staffing solutions to meet business needs for key positions.
  • Provides advice, counsel, and influences client group leadership toward Company policy, procedure, as well as legal compliance.
  • Supervises and formally mentor’s direct reports by providing leadership, counsel and opportunity for professional training and education.
  • Consult and advise on talent reviews and the annual merit planning cycle.

  • Ability to develop partnerships and work as a team with HR functional areas and direct reports.
  • Possesses professional, sound business, and ethical judgment.
  • Strong desire to improve professionally and interpersonally.
  • Through actions, strives to improve the reputation and credibility of the HR team and function as a whole.
  • Basic abilities with e-mail, MS Office products (Word, Excel & PowerPoint).


Education And Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline.
  • Minimum 10 years HR generalist experience including organizational development, strategic planning, and employee relations.
  • Supervisory / management experience and Sr. Professional Human Resources (SPHR) certification preferred.
