What are the responsibilities and job description for the Grounds Technician position at CAM-PLEX?
CAM-PLEX is currently looking to fill the position of Grounds Technician. This position assists in maintaining grounds and performs manual tasks to assure proper operation and maintenance of assigned areas and equipment in accordance with local, state, and department policies. Answers emergency calls and is available to help repair breakdowns of assigned areas. Assists in planning for and implementing projects relating to turf, irrigation, and outside facilities. Plows snow and maintains safety on all sidewalks, parking lots, and driveways.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Performs the maintenance of multiple park facilities, including grounds, trees, equipment, and irrigations systems.
- Responds to questions, complaints, and maintenance emergencies.
- Assists in the development and implementation of goals and objectives for the integrity of assigned facilities and areas.
- Performs tasks to support grounds beautification programs as assigned.
- Performs and coordinates snow removal of parking lots, roads, and sidewalks.
- Uses grounds equipment by and from other departments as needed.
- Assists in the development of the annual maintenance, equipment repair, and facility improvement budgets.
- Performs tasks including irrigation, fertilization, weed control, seeding, aerating, top dressing chemical applications and mowing.
- Performs tasks to ensure for the cleanliness of grounds including picking up of trash, locating garbage receptacles, keeping work area organized and free of debris.
- Assists department personnel and county agencies with special events and work assignments as needed.
- Performs related duties as required.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum High School Diploma (or GED equivalent)
- Three (3) to (5) five years of experience in commercial maintenance
- Any equivalent combination of training, education and experience that provides the required skills, knowledge, and abilities.
Required Licenses or Certifications:
- Class C Driver's License
- Wyoming pesticide applicator's license
