Job Description:
This is a high-volume, highly visible role and the incumbent must exhibit exceptional customer service skills, excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to work in a fast paced environment handling competing priorities. The incumbent must be very detail oriented.
Essential Functions:
- Complies with established hospital and Human Resources Department customer service standards. Maintains the confidentiality of all employee information.
- Sources, reviews applications and is responsible for responding to applications received in the Applicant Tracking System for assigned positions.
- Completes offer process (determines pay rate within established guidelines, generates offer letter and corresponding documents, determines hire date, explain offer process to candidates). Negotiates salaries as needed in consultation with Manager of Recruitment.
- Consults with line management, providing recruitment guidance when appropriate.
- Lead and advances hospital-wide employment training to improve manager screening and interview practices, ensuring top quality hires.
- Analyzes trends and metrics in partnership with the HR group to develop solutions, programs, policies and compensation.
- Performs as administrator of the Applicant Tracking System (ATS) for designated areas of specialty.
- Completes transfer/status change process (determines pay rate changes, completes PAF, verifies new licensure, generates status change letters). Ensures The Joint Commission compliance requirements in regards to employee status changes.
- Works closely with the Manager of Recruitment, to conceptualize and execute a comprehensive Recruitment/Retention strategy for the facility.
- Provides day-to-day performance management guidance to line management (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, etc.).
- Develops, within established salary ranges, hiring-in rates based on candidate qualifications and salary, internal equity, market conditions, department funding considerations and union contract.
- Maintains the confidentiality of all employee information and ensures compliance in new hire process.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Oversees aging of posted positions and works and proposes additional recruitment opportunities as required.
- Other duties as assigned.
