Cambridge Partners & Associates is a multi-discipline consulting firm located in Palatine, Illinois. The firm provides its clients with a diverse range of valuation services and M&A advisory solutions. You will take an active and highly visible role in most every new engagement in which you are assigned.
The valuation group performs valuations of closely held businesses and their assets, including: securities, intangibles, complex real estate and myriad fixed assets. Client's include closely held businesses, private equity firms and their portfolio investment companies, financial institutions, publicly traded businesses and many more.
The firm's M&A advisory services include lower middle-market sell side investment banking and related advisory. Sell-side clients include closely held businesses and divisions of publicly traded corporations, private equity owned companies, etc.
We are seeking a motivated individual whose responsibilities will primarily include: business valuation; sell-side investment banking financial modeling; the appraisal analysis of fixed assets in connection with business acquisitions; and the analysis of commercial and industrial real estate to assist clients with federal tax depreciation strategies (cost segregation analysis).
Ideal candidates will have at least 1 year of prior work experience and a strong understanding of finance, mathematics, Microsoft Excel and the software program's many formulas and functions.
We are seeking someone with a bachelor's degree in either finance, economics, accounting, engineering or mathematics. A background in the valuation field is a plus but not required as we are willing to train a consulting minded professional possessing the right academic background and/or work history. Candidates coming from the fields of: commercial banking or finance, public accounting, engineering, financial planning & analysis or similar will be considered.
Required for the position include:
* Analytical, mathematical and corporate finance skills
* Solid proficiency in Microsoft Excel
* Excellent English writing and verbal communication
