About the position:
As a Climbing Wall, Ropes Course Outdoor Adventure Counselor you will further the mission of camp through the development and supervision of age-appropriate climbing wall, ropes course, and outdoor adventure programming and activities.
Duties and responsibilities include:
- Teaching campers how to climb a rock wall and engage in various ropes course, team-building activities
- Belaying campers as they climb
- Ensuring the equipment is safe and ready for use-- inspecting the equipment, such as the ropes, harnesses, carabiners, and belay devices
- Overseeing other counselors at the activity area
- Keeping program area clean and organized
- Assisting in the organization and execution of camper overnights, including pitching tents and cooking over a fire.
- Assisting in and overseeing outdoor adventure activities such as fire-building and trail marking.
About Camp Scatico:
A 7-week residential summer camp in the Upper Hudson Valley for campers aged 8 through 15. Scatico provides an overnight camp experience that is values-based, community-oriented, and filled with camp spirit.

Pay: $500.00 - $800.00 per week
