What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sr. Media Planner position at Campbell Ewald?
The Sr. Media Planner is a key member of our Media Planning team and will play a significant role in managing the strategic development, execution and stewardship of our client(s) media plans across key pieces of business in the Finance and CPG sectors. You will work closely with the Associate Media Director & Media Director and assist your team in all aspects of research, analysis and implementation of plans that deliver the client(s) overall objectives. This team member will also be deeply involved with the agency network currently in place across disciplines.
Responsibilities:
- Have knowledge of the client(s) business/brand, competitive environment, industry trends and their overall marketing plans/goals.
- Management and development of media plans, including TV, Radio, Digital, and Social. Digital/Social experience is critical.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients, vendors, publishers, team members and internal creative resources to ensure smooth implementation of campaigns. Active collaboration is critical.
- Provide POV’s on various media topics and provide a strategic level of thinking to our clients and internal agency teams.
- Oversee and help when needed in the implementation, optimization and performance of campaigns and give strategic feedback on the campaigns to internal and external teams.
- Be accountable for media budgets and client billing.
- Advise and address media related issues based on changes in direction, goals and budgets
- Maintain close contact with media representatives to keep current on data pertaining to the markets they serve.
Requirements:
- 2 years media planning experience at either a media agency or advertising agency.
- Strong digital media planning background required.
- Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) or equivalent preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to manage the production of integrated campaigns.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to present ideas in front of internal teams and clients.
- Strong organizational skills, great attention to detail and ability to drive multiple projects from conception to completion.
- High level of proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Keynote.
- Knowledge of Media Tools and third party marketing research like comScore, Doubleclick, MRI, Monroe Mendelsohn, Kantar/Nielsen Monitor Plus, Mediaocean, Telmar/IMS/Memory, SQAD, preferred.
