Position Description:
Electrical Engineering is responsible for the design and implementation of electrical controls and systems for
precision CNC grinding machines from concept to troubleshooting after assembly. Electrical Engineering produces
drawing sets and machine logic programming per the machine specification and required functions. Electrical
Engineering manages those designs through team reviews, quoting, build processes and start up.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
• Create and maintain electrical drawings.
• Create and maintain ladder logic.
• Assures the successful completion of assigned projects, tasks, and activities on time, within budget, while
delivering the predefined project performance goals.
• Start up and troubleshooting of new systems.
• Produces and is accountable for proper and accurate engineering work and record keeping.
• Supports continuous electrical design improvement effort.
• Create and maintain Bills of Materials and requisition electrical components.
• Maintains engineering documentation accuracy concerning revisions and design changes.
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary engineering teams, as well as with vendors and contractors.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
• Some travel required (Typically less than 15%).
Preferred Knowledge & Skills:
• Understands engineering concepts and electrical systems.
• Detailed orientated.
• Exceptional technical knowledge, problem-solving skills, and reasoning ability
• Detailed knowledge of AutoCad.
• Experience with Fanuc CNC systems.
• Experience with Fanuc CNC Ladder.
• Must be self-motivated and able to manage multiple projects or tasks.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
Education & Qualifications:
• 4 years practical experience in electrical engineering preferred.
• Experience with frequency drives, servos, and CNC Controls preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, preferred.
