What are the responsibilities and job description for the General Manager position at Campora Propane?
What you will do:
- Ensure our employees, customers and equipment are safe from harm or risk
- Foster and lead a “Culture of Safety” throughout the entire Service Center
- Manage financial performance to the budgeted plan
- Manage the routing and distribution process for all deliveries
- Proper hiring and cross-training of all staff into functional areas
- Timely and accurate forecast reporting
- Have working knowledge and compliance of all applicable state, federal and local codes and regulations, as well as all company policies and procedures
- Manage Account Manager sales activity and production
What you will bring to the table:
- Knowledge of the local service center delivery area
- Valid CDL B license, with hazmat, tanker, and air brake endorsements must be retained (depending on service center)
- 6 years of experience in an operations leadership role
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with an emphasis on developing a positive rapport with employees and customers
- Detail orientation with the ability to take projects/tasks through to completion
- Strong time-management and organizational skills with the ability to effectively multi-task
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills in a customer-focused environment
- Demonstrated skills in data analysis, strategic planning, measurements, and fiscal responsibility
- Must maintain a professional appearance and conduct while representing the department and the organization to management, employees, and the public
- May be required to work holidays, weekends, overtime, or during hours other than those which are considered a normal work schedule
- Experience working with MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
