General Summary
Focus of this higher-level position is to quickly attain all responsibilities, in order to be able to fully participate in the analysis of service trends, staff performance, new product releases, and other senior level tasks assigned by service management.
Essential Job Functions
· Proficiency in Candela laser and medical device technology
· Creates training syllabus for new product releases
· Takes part in new product review to assess serviceability
· Reviews and edits troubleshooting guides and tech memo's
· Work with Technical writer to create Service Manuals
· Troubleshoots all problems without assistance
· Able to assess and report on staff / distributor capabilities
· Process international warranty claims
· Works with service management and other Candela departments to create service specifications
· Proficiency in Customer / Technical Support
· Develops trending from support data and database service histories
· Helps identify ways to improve efficiency and streamline processes
· Proficiency with gathering technical and customer data
· Fully utilizes departmental customer software
· Retrieves information and analyzes situations
· Provide technical training on multiple Candela products
· Approve new technical trainers
· Lead role for service group on new product development
· Mentor Technical Support Engineers on how to work on new product development
Knowledge/Educational Requirements
· 5-8 years of experience in a technical environment.
· A.S degree in electronics or equivalent, combined with the above experience level.
