The Opportunity:

The Role:
Reporting to the Manager, Talent Acquisition and Workforce Planning and working within the Talent Acquisition department, you will be primarily responsible for performing a broad range of administrative duties in support of the team.
As the Talent Acquisition Coordinator, you will coordinate and manage various processes to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of all talent acquisition activities. You also perform duties of a confidential nature that require strong knowledge of Canfor’s policies, practices, and procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Support full cycle recruitment support within the Talent Acquisition department.
- Create and maintain various job descriptions for new and existing positions.
- Post and maintain jobs online, internally and on external recruitment websites.
- Maintain and update the Applicant Tracking System with templates, users and updates.
- Troubleshoot and act as the subject matter expert for the Applicant Tracking System.
- Maintain LinkedIn Careers Webpage and social media with current job opportunities.
- Arrange travel details and interviews with candidates including telephone pre-screens, individual, panel and Skype interviews for positions from entry level to management.
- Responsible for coordinating testing, reference and background checks using systems and outside agencies, gathering new hire paperwork and updating applicant tracking system.
- Conduct follow up meetings with interview candidates to provide feedback.
- Coordinate and participate in job fairs, career fairs and recruitment events.
- Conduct regular follow-up meetings with managers to determine effectiveness of candidate recruiting.
- Provide updates to Manager, Workforce planning and Talent Acquisition team on recruitment progress and analytics.
The Candidate:
- Has a Human Resources Management Certificate and/or Diploma and a minimum of two (2) years work experience in a recruitment, administrative or related role; or, an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
- Superior organizational and project management skills.
- Strong attention to detail, resourceful and able to proactively anticipate needs and provide solutions.
- Knowledge of employment law and regulations.
- Comfortable working in an environment with rapidly changing priorities.
- Excellent time management, interpersonal, and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Must be able to travel to mills 25% of the time.
