The base salary range below represents the low and high of the Indeed salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. Key Benefits As a Caretaker

- Work with the program department to assign dorm rooms to incoming guests and provide guests with dorm access and instructions via mail, email and telephone prior to their arrival.
- Greet and welcome incoming guests to the campus and assist with the check in and orientation process.
- Report guest complaints, comments, suggestions, significant issues or failure to follow established dorm rules and procedures to appropriate campus staff and supervisor.
- Provide support for all guests outside normal business hours (8am-5pm) that include basic first aid, minor dorm repairs/maintenance, emergency procedures and other tasks.
- Maintaining of the dormitory rooms and common areas of the dormitory facility.
- Provide general front office support/coverage as needed, which may include answering phones, directing guest and visitors, providing campus tours
- Perform routine daily campus security checks of buildings and adjacent parking lots.
Must Haves:
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to effectively interact and work, with all levels of the organization, including staff, volunteers, donors and guests.
- Able to work with people with disabilities and dogs.
- Able to multi-task, excellent planning, organizing, time and work management.
- Able to maintain good boundaries with dormitory guests/residents.
- Safely lift up to 50 pounds unassisted. Employees should seek assistance when lifting anything that weighs in excess of 50 pounds.
- Able to problem solve and complete basic housekeeping.
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft applications and email.
- Able to work weekends when necessary
- High school graduate, GED or equivalent
- Basic first aid and CPR training. (Canine Companions® may furnish first aid and/or CPR training) Previous customer service or hospitality experience
