We are looking for an HR Generalist to join our HR team in Cannon Falls, MN. This position collaborates with the HR team and all levels of the organization in creating solutions that empower everyone to realize their full potential. The HR Generalist reports to the HR Director and will provide HR support to 3 locations and field employees throughout the US. With assistance from various centers of excellence at the group and corporate level the HR Generalist will focus on several key focus areas: Talent Acquisition and Onboarding: The HR Generalist will manage a high volume of recruiting and onboarding process for all locations by ensuring that job postings are regularly refreshed, applications are reviewed in a timely manner, and candidates are treated to a delightful experience regardless of the outcome for their application. The Generalist will also help managers with the first 90-day experience by checking in with new hires and ensuring the onboarding plan has been followed. This position will also be asked to grow relationships in the community and with local educators to create a pipeline for future talent. Employee Relations: The HR Generalist will be a point of contact for employees and managers to go to with questions and advice. They may provide guidance on a variety of matters including engagement, performance, development, total rewards, and conflict resolution. Administrative Backup: Payroll, Reporting & Compliance: The HR Generalist will act as back for the primary payroll person during time off or other high volume time periods for the primary payroll person. This position will also provide HR Director and managers with status updates on HR Programs in process (e.g. completed and upcoming performance reviews, completed training requirements, recruiting metrics, etc.) While our employees all work for Cannon Equipment, their career growth is supported by a larger company. Requirements: Associates degree required (Bachelor's degree preferred) in HR Management, Business Administration or in a related field PHR, SPHR, SHRM or SHRM SCP certifications preferred 2 years of professional work experience, experience working as an HR Generalist / HR Business Partner preferred Must be knowledgeable of Federal, State, and local employment laws. Customer Service / Servant leadership orientation Professional communication skills Ability to work independently and make sound business decisions on local issues Able to maintain confidence and offer sound advice. Industry experience helpful but not required.
